Jonathan Freeland

professional artist, amateur philosopher.

My greatest indulgence is contemplating how the world works.

I did not grow up in a particularly artistic family or in a town that would be considered a beacon of art, but when the bug bit me in 8th grade, I had no choice but to trade in my baseball cleats for ballet slippers.

Following an intense period of performing arts magnet schooling and earning a musical theatre degree in the Steel City, I made the move to NYC with $1,000, a single suitcase, and a guitar.

My adventures brought me through 5 years of performing professionally across N. America, honing my skills in visual design, social media strategy, and even building a micro roasting coffee company. As my joy for creating commercial art weaned, and my injury count grew I stumbled into a Muay Thai gym in 2017 which would take me across the world to get beat up by guys that are now beating up other people in the UFC.

I will never be in the UFC, but it was a life changing experience.

In 2020, my wife and I moved from Brooklyn, NY to Franklin, TN where I continue to collaborate with artists and entrepreneurs both musically and visually.
